Camp Lejeune, North Carolina

October 22-23, 2009 Patriots Point Volunteers were official guest at the Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, NC. Our assigned escort for the two days, Charles Broda, was waiting for us at the entrance parking lot when we arrived.

Thanks goes to Arnie Stein for making this trip possible. He put a lot of work into this program.

Our first stop was a group photo under a 400 year old Oak tree.

Beirut Memorial Service

26 years ago on a Sunday morning, October 23, 1983, 241 Marines died in a suicide bomb attack. Every year for the last 23 years, a memorial service is held in their honor. Patriots Point Volunteers were honored to participate in this year's program.
